... That RPGs have been one of my central inspirations for more than 30 years, and that without D&D and its children I might never have become a writer, met many of my friends, or met the woman I married.

So basically, Gygax and Arneson are responsible for making me much of who I am today.

The sad thing is, he wasn't the game designer who's death I've been expecting to hear about. Not that I think that hearing this news about Erick Wujick or Bob Bledsaw wopuld be good, but Gary Gygax was so much a fixture, that I was caught off guard. It was like hearing that teh ground beneath my feet could die.

Bah 69 was to young, someone needs to invent medical nano's and get them on the market. Perhaps a nice dose of reset without the side effects.
