That's a good one. (Should go downstairs and inhale. I've been packing dusty books.)

I'm pretty fond of the entire cluster that makes modern surgery possible (antibiotics, blood transfusions, aseptic techniques, anaesthesia, et c). If it wasn't for surgery, I and/or Hulda wouldn't have made it out of labour alive.
