(It sounds like something that ghost-hunters around the world will want to get their hands on at some point, as a next step up from an IR camera. -grin-)

Hopefully Seawasp doesn't try to start a religion centered around the device...

It is..

... sort of a simple, real-world analogue of the CryWolf! device.

And yes, it'd be very useful for Bigfoot hunters, etc., who actually want to see if they're finding something real.

Its original main use though is for inspection of houses (for energy audits, etc.) at a cost per unit thousands less than standard IR cameras. (the market version of the device costs less than a single standard 320x240 IR *SENSOR*, let alone the camera that uses the sensor.)
